The East Caribbean Group of Companies (ECGC), a leading manufacturer of Flour, Rice, Animal Feeds and Aerated Beverages within the OECS is seeking a suitably qualified individual to become a part of our Finance Department Team in the position of Assistant Accountant with our subsidiary company East Caribbean Bottlers Inc.
The principal responsibilities of the position will involve the production of monthly management accounts to tight deadlines, providing financial information to the management team which will explain overall performance versus key targets on a monthly and YTD basis, and providing overall co-ordination and supervision of the work in the Department’s Accounting section.
To be considered for this role applicants must be:
A Qualified Accountant or be enrolled, working towards a professional designation, with at least 5 years’ experience;
Experienced in monthly accounts process
Familiar with budgeting techniques
Personable, with demonstrable experience liaising with, and providing assistance and advise to, non-Finance managers on financial matters
Audit experience will be an asset
The successful candidate must have good technical ability, sound analytical and investigative skills supplemented by excellent communication skills.
